Miniaturized
orthodontic
attachments

The notion of a micro-orthodontic appliance may seem like a completely novel idea. However, proof of concept was established more than 15 years ago with the pioneering work of Dr. George Kyritsis and the manufacturing savvy of Mr. Lee Tuneberg, former V.P. of American Orthodontics.
Through this collaboration it was assessed that metallic miniaturized orthodontic attachments could be manufactured with relative ease. Bond strength was clinically acceptable and biomechanics were found to be straight forward with no real learning curve for an experienced orthodontist.

With the advent of ceramic injection molding, the development of translucent micro-orthodontic brackets is now feasible.

Services
A clear micro-orthodontic appliance would not be complete without the appropriate miniaturized auxiliaries. To establish a comprehensive micro-orthodontic discipline, the following are warranted:

• Miniaturized elastomeric modules
• Compact polymer archwire hooks
• Modified bracket prescriptions
• 0.019’’ edgewise slots on the anterior brackets
• Revised bonding techniques

Comparison

NanoClear vs Ceramic Brackets

NanoClear brackets and Tie compared to the leading advanced ceramic brackets. Note that although the elastomeric O rings are grey/silver, the NanoTie is not visible when stretched.

NanoClear vs Plastic Aligners

NanoClear braces are the clear alternative to plastic aligners.                ● No more lost or forgotten aligners                                                             ● No more wiping saliva clean                                                                        ● No more storing and carrying your aligners in retainer cases
